Take independent ownership of major systems and projects, new and old. Requirements: 2+ years working on a consumer-facing web application with at least one of the following characteristics: At least 2 million page views / month. At least 5 servers in production. At least 100 GB of data Runs on a cloud computing platform like Amazon EC2, Engine Yard or Google App Engine. Experience finding and removing performance bottlenecks using logging and profiling tools. Milliseconds matter to you! Fluency in English. If you understood this post, you’re probably good to go. Demonstrable skills in at least one of the following languages: Java, Scala, Ruby, Python. There will be coding tests. Bonus Points: Experience w/ the Hadoop stack (incl.
