Position:SQL Server/Database Adminisrtator
Job Description:
the company is currently seeking a detail oriented Microsoft SQL Administrator with excellent problem solving, analytical skills and a proven track record in managing production level environments to join our Information Technology team.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the day to day administration of current SQL Server environment.
In addition He / She will be involved with designing and implementing a new scalable, highly-available global data architecture.
Location: Taipei, Taiwan
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze database requirements; develop detailed database design specifications to meet identified requirements.
- Review and analyze user needs; determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems.
- Install and maintain database performance by developing tuning methodologies.
- Manage and implement database security and user accounts.
- Design and implement backup and recovery strategies.
- Assist with the design and development of data models as needed.
- Assist with the development and implementation of database/ SQL standards and methodologies.
- Analyze and report on database metrics; administer and control data resources; monitor and ensure database integrity, security, and performance; and implement tools to improve database performance.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures and write complex database queries.
- Work with customer to gather data requirements and generate ad-hoc data requests.
- Work with customers to establish and maintain excellent working relationships, resolve issues, and promote team services and capabilities.
Position Requirements:
- University degree in computer science or software engineering and 5+ years equivalent work experience.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills in both Chinese and English
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams amd committees.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Technical Requirements:
- 5+ years experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server as Database Administrator
- 3+ years experience in highly-available and secure environments (financial services, e-commerce web sites)
- 3+ years experience with marketing or CRM database management and development
- 3+ years experience with database modeling, stored procedures, jobs, complex queries and modifications
- 3+ years experience programming in T-SQL
- 3+ years experience troubleshooting database, system, and networking issues.
- Experience with partitioning, file group optimization, database mirroring, log shipping, and clustering and expertise in SQL Server database replication.
- Experienced in the use of transactional and snapshot replication within Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with remote disaster recovery and business continuance sites.
- Experience designing and implementing data warehouses and data marts.
- Knowledge of backups and recovery, security administration, database and server performance monitoring, tuning and trending, and capacity planning
- Experience with Qracle database a BIG plus
- MCSE, MCDBA or MCSD is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- On-call availability.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
Salary: 50k~80k (14 months fixed)
