Job Title : Database Administrator
Academic & Major in Bachelor or graduate studies in Information field related degree or equivalent professional qualification
Language Chinese / English fluent in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Relevant working experience and minimum years required:
Minimum 5 years of database administration and support experience
Other requirements
• Knowledge for MySQL, Oracle and MSSQL administration and development
• Ability to lead technical discussions and projects in an organized manner
• Ability to drive problem resolution to root cause
• Must be able to manage time effectively and to deliver on commitments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to operate well in a team environment and when under pressure
• MS SQL and/or Oracle certification is a plus
Responsibilities
• Be responsible for database administration and development. Work closely with development, architecture, infrastructure teams and other DBAs to design and administer databases and support related applications.
• Administering, maintaining and tunning databases based on the best practice
• 24*7 support for mission critical production MySQL, Oracle and MS SQL databases
• Provide operational support to maintain production databases (e.g. backup/recovery, tuning, reporting etc)
• Working closely with development team to clearly understand the business applications and databases
• Provide development and design support of databases to development teams involved in application development, testing and implementation.
• Assist report writers in query performance tuning as requested. Help identify inefficient queries and provide recommendation.
• Participate in database schema design sessions with other production DBAs and solution architects to ensure seamless coordination of changes between production databases and data warehouses.
• Actively address business unit requests, clearly communicating commitments, issues, completion dates and status with the requestor and management.
Salary: 55k~70k*13 or avobe
