Application support engineer (1 position)
Primary focus is on application support with experience on .Net development and support on .Net
Secondary focus is customer support and servicedesk role plus basic system support and administration.
5 days Shift work (1pm to 10pm)

Job Purpose
To design, implement, manage and review the database infrastructure based on business requirements to ensure a secured, resilient and continuous availability of IT services

Job Responsibilities
To support software deployment activities for production and testing environments.
Resolve production issues via adherence to the formal escalation process and procedures.
Liaise with business users and infrastructure support teams to ensure production issues are resolved on a timely basis and that correct actions are taken
Implement continual improvement to ensure application stability and performance to minimize support calls.
Take ownership of each issue and manage each request or incident from start to successful conclusion
Conduct testing, provide UAT support and handle production rollout
Be client focused and maintain good working relationship with clients.
Bugs ticketing management, Application health monitoring
Development, contribution and maintenance of application support knowledgebase

Education & Experience
Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science or Engineering
At least 2 years of solid application support experience on .NET

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Highly desirable skills include, C/C++, MQ, ASP.NET, VB
Database knowledge (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL)
Knowledge of design techniques, development processes and software configuration management.
Well verse in English (Both verbal & written)
Rotating shift work schedule
Must be able to work on weekend or public holiday and provide after-hours support
